The Terrigal Scrabble Club was started 4 years ago by Jan Tomlin and meets every Monday at 10am within The Terrigal Memorial Country Club located on Dover Road, Wamberal. Games are played according to accepted Australian Scrabble Players Association of NSW (ASPA) practice. We ask for a $2.00 a week playing fee which usually allows you to play up to 5 games per day with people of varying experience.

Every second Monday of each month is prize day. Jan picks a subject such as words relating to food or the highest scoring word with "j" in it. Who ever gets the highest score wins a nice little prize. Previous prizes have been stationery, toiletries, keyrings and plants.

The ASPA has been most supportive of the Terrigal Scrabble Club as has the Terrigal Memorial Country Club who provide us with accommodation, sometimes with great difficulty due to pressures on their available accommodation. We are extremely grateful for this support.

Great loyalty has been displayed by the original members of our Club, most of whom still attend on a regular basis. We are very keen to attract new participants and would welcome inquiries from interested people be they complete novices or skilled players.

Our weekly meetings are enjoyed by all, we play on public Holidays except at Easter and have a four week break at Christmas. Lunch is available at the Country Club bistro. For the past three years we have enjoyed a convivial Christmas lunch at a local restaurant.
